Kur’s Rage, Part 1 of the Duaredheim Staff Saga begins the grand tale of adventure and continues with The Drums of Doom, The Last Admiral, and reaches its epic climax in Part 4, The Ice Moon. Erik currently lives in Norwell, Massachusetts. The Duaredheim Staff Saga is an epic fantasy action and adventure story set in a Dungeons & Dragons styled world.
I served with the 3rd Ranger Battalion as a Unit Supply Sergeant and Company Armorer during Desert Storm and The Battle of Mogadishu, which most people know as the Black Hawk Down incident. During this period, I saw how the modern world was changing, and I began to conceptualize the overall storyline of Kur’s Rage. I am an avid Dungeons & Dragons player and dungeon master, and fan of all things fantasy and science fiction. I have played all of my life, and the works of Gary Gygax helped to mold my imagination and inspire my stories. As a former soldier, I understand the battlefield, war, and their effects on veterans that coupled with an interest in history, gave me a solid foundation for creating the large-scale battle scenes in my books. I have studied traditional martial arts since the age of thirteen, and now, at fifty-eight years of age, I still enjoy teaching new students the martial art of Vovinam. My martial arts experience allows me to write compelling, exciting, and realistic action scenes that are the bread and butter of my works.
